Alex
Rickard was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma and grew up in the four state area (Missouri,
Kansas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas). He spent most of his young years growing up
on a farm tucked away in the Ozark foothills of Missouri. There he made a special
bond with life and nature, and began to develop his unique perspective that
he shares with us in his new book Buttermilk Dreams.
He
graduated from the College of the Ozarks and the University of Missouri-Rolla
with a degree in engineering. He has worked in places ranging from truck stops
to casinos, while traveling extensively across our great country. He even rode
his bicycle across the continent of North America. A consummate wanderer, he
is always listening to what he sees along the way as he looks for the rhythm
of his heart.
